Summary: Brief, unedited film of refugees returning to their home towns, probably the Le Cateau road, Western Front, 11th-18th November 1918.
Description: View down the length of a straight road lined with trees. A British staff car, probably the cameraman's, is parked by the road, and an officer watches, back to camera, as lines of refugees come up the road and exchange greetings with him. (He may be the official photographer J Warwick Brooke.) The refugees appear in a series of time cuts: a group of three with a large hand-cart, a large group with children riding a hay wagon, three men waving Allied flags, and carts festooned with flags.
