The following User Agreement applies to the use of all still or moving images, other visual material and recordings, both analogue and digital, supplied by the Imperial War Museum or downloaded from the site www.iwmcollections.org.uk.

Still or moving images, other visual material and recordings are supplied for private or evaluation use only. The customer may not otherwise make, use or distribute copies of the images, visual material or recordings for any purpose, including private publishing or websites.

Prior permission must be sought for any other use of this material, for which separate Terms and Conditions apply.

All still or moving images, other visual material, recordings and information provided are in the ownership of, or copyright of, the Imperial War Museum or are provided by the Imperial War Museum with permission of the rights holders . The moral rights of the Imperial War Museum and all authors of the works represented have been asserted.

Digital files supplied by the Imperial War Museum may be only downloaded onto a single computer hard drive. Files must be deleted from the system, once used for the purpose for which they were downloaded.

The customer may not remove any watermark or spoiler.

The customer must ensure that the material is not used (including adapted, altered, cropped or manipulated) in any way detrimental to the image, or in a way liable to trivialise, sensationalise or demean the subject matter.

While the Imperial War Museum takes reasonable care in the performance of this agreement, the Imperial War Museum shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you or by any third party arising from use or reproduction of any image or its caption.
