An officer gives a command and the men move off. Shadows of the men. Brigadier Appleyard by an aeroplane on the runway. Troops march past. He is assisted with putting on flying equipment, and the plane moves off.
23 April 1940. General Gort receives General Georges at Bethune station. General Georges inspects the Guard of Honour of Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. The Generals by a car (including Brooke?). Shots taken at Le Triez showing 2nd Corps taking over the tour from 3rd Corps. General Georges and his staff inspect various guns in square at Orchies - Bofors 4.7, 3.7 anti-aircraft guns, Bren anti-aircraft guns, Vickers, etc. General Georges inspects the Guard of Honour of 2nd Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment and speaks to Captain Barclay, recently decorated with the Military Cross. Departure of General Georges by train, he salutes as the train leaves.
