Pan across the landscape surrounding the palace, showing the Shatt al-Arab, the palace precincts and the local buildings. Close-ups of soldiers manning the watchtowers. II. Interview with Captain Lewis, machine gunner and also R Company bugler (includes discussion of army bugle training). III. Interview with Lieutenant Guy Bomford, both of 4th Battalion the Rifles, standing near the UK Gate (incorporating the Tower 20 sangar). He talks about his duties and experiences, including the training of the (Iraqi) Palace Protection Force who will be taking over. IV. Group interview with members of the Irish Guards (this interview is being recorded for radio, and therefore the camera has been placed on the floor and is pointed at the wall). V. Brief views of the tank yard with Warrior armoured vehicles. VII. Group interviews with members of B Company (Rorke's Drift), 2nd Battalion the Royal Welsh. No image. Soldiers are identified as Private Russell, Private Mazey, Sergeant Harris and Corporal Ellis. VII. Further views of the tank park with Warriors and a Bulldog. VIII. Guard point at the UK Gate; members of the Iraqi Palace Protection Force check vehicles at the barrier; they also keep watch from the sangar (no sound).
