Description: I. "Prince Richard of Gloucester." Royal family pose for formal picture at time of christening of Prince Richard of Gloucester, in the arms of his mother.
II. "Mulberry harbour." Describes how shortly after D-Day caissons were towed across the Channel and then submerged to form artificial harbours. Aerial film shows the caissons crossing the Channel then sea-level views as well as diagrams indicate these giant blocks in position. After the construction of pontoon bridges and piers, lorries, jeeps and tanks roll ashore. Freak June storms later severely damaged one of the Mulberry harbours.
III. "Moscow meeting." Sir Archibald Clark Kerr, Averell Harriman, Molotov and his deputy Maisky stand waiting at Moscow airport for the arrival of Churchill, Eden, Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke and General Sir Hastings Ismay. National anthems, including the new Soviet one, are played and Red Army guard of honour marches past. Churchill makes a speech congratulating the Red Army and expressing the hope that after victory "the world will be a better place for the great mass of human beings to live in."
