Description: Fragments joined by spacer. Airfield activity includes landings, formation take off by four Seafires. LSs of aircraft in line abreast and box formations, etc. The camera is 'buzzed' by aircraft making low passes over the airstrip. An Albacore and Seafire are seen parked in front of hangars. MCU of tail section of ditched Seafire MB.315 protruding above the water. Carrier scenes include a MS profile of HMS Argus and forward 3/4 view of a destroyer which approaches to signal (G77 HMS Penn). HA. MS of elevator bearing Seafire. LS from island as batman directs Seafire's landing. Albacores on deck and in the air. End section of the reel shows a studio dramatisation in CU - a Spitfire pilot struggles with his controls as he aircraft goes into a shallow dive, and oil from ruptured fuel lines begins to cover the cockpit.
