Summary: Euston underground station, London. 173rd Tunnelling Company, Royal Engineers. A heavy calibre bomb penetrated 45 feet in depth and broke the cast iron shell of the tube, about 300 yards east of the station. Since sewers and water mains were broken, tons of clay were carried into the tunnels, blocking them for some distance. The sappers have driven two small pilot tubes through the debris and are clearing and repairing the tunnels.
