27 Mar. 1942. HRH Emir Mansour bin Saud returns to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia after his tour. Crowds greet him and the Governor of Jeddah makes a speech. HRH inspects a Guard of Honour of the Coldstream and Scots Guards. He meets the Governor of Suez and Vice Admiral Halifax. He meets Captain Barry who is in charge of the party accompanying him on his return journey, which includes Captain Uniacke, Dr Midhat and Lieutenant M Diab, from the battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth. He boards the Admiral's launch which takes him to the troopship Princess Kathleen. He returns to the palace.
