Description: I. 'MORE GOODS ON THE WAY.' A newly completed family saloon car (Morris ?) is loaded onto a waiting cargo ship by a quayside crane hoist. Film footage taken in the interior of a toy factory shows model cars, small tricycles and scooters destined for overseas export. Packing crate labels reveal the export destinations of the toys, which include, Famagusta (Cyprus), Toronto (Canada), Valletta (Malta) and Port Elizabeth (South Africa). Female workers are shown at a bottling plant forming part of the Tram and McIntyre whisky distillery in Glasgow. Close up footage shows a handwritten note (on Board of Trade headed paper) from the President of the Board of Trade Sir Stafford Cripps. The message reads "Exports are the only means by which we can get the food our people need and the raw materials upon which they work."
II. 'NOBEL PEACE PRIZES.' Sir Alexander Fleming, Sir Ernst Boris Chain and Baron Howard Walter Florey receive the 1945 Nobel Prize for Medicine for the discovery and processing of the antibiotic Penicillin (Stockholm- December 10 1945).
III. 'AUSTRALIA- FLAX INDUSTRY.' Women agricultural workers lay cut flax out to dry in a field, turning it by hand. Cut flax is gathered for eventual transportation to a mill. Interior footage of a flax mill shows seeds being extracted from flax straw by industrial threshing machine. Weaving and cording machinery continues the processing of the flax.
IV. 'ROUGH RIDERS AT RODEO. General coverage of an Australian rodeo. Spectators watch riders perform on unbroken horses and steers at an undisclosed location (Brisbane ?).
