Description: 31 October. Various shots of Churchill 40 ton tanks moving in different formations across the desert in the El Alamein area.
2 November. 25 pounder of the Australian 2/12 Field Artillery laying a barrage during the night/morning of 1 and 2 November. German and Italian prisoners captured by the 51st Highland Division being marched through Allied lines. Grant tanks move forward into the battle area, followed by water cars to lay the dust.
3 November. Churchill tanks make their debut in the Western Desert.
3 November. Prisoners taken after their capture early in the morning with the 2nd Armoured Brigade. An injured German soldier receives medical attention from an Allied infantryman.
29 October. The 41, 45 and 47 Royal Tank Regiments, 24th Armoured Brigade return for repairs and rest. Trooper J Brooks of Manchester washes the back of Trooper R Porter of Staffordshire. A knocked out German tank. An anti-tank gunner places a round in the breech of the gun. A tank being pulled up onto a recovery wagon.
