Summary: General Montgomery in the Western Desert.
Description: General Montgomery studies a map of the battle area with Lieutenant-General Lumsden and Lieutenant-General Leese outside his forward area dugout. He walks to his tank for a cup of coffee before going forward into the battle. He climbs onto his Grant tank and scans the horizon with binoculars. He is called to the telephone and has to return to his dugout. The new Priest 105mm gun mounted on the chassis of a Grant tank fires. The Queen's Bays Regiment of the 2nd Armoured Brigade are heavily shelled while waiting to engage the German armour.
