Summary: Activities on the Alamein Line.
Description: I.The Duke of Gloucester visits Headquarters, 30 Corps, on the Alamein Line. He is greeted by Major General Ramsden, Corps Commander, and Major General Pienaar and Lieutenant-General Morshead, General Officers Commanding the South African and Australian Divisions respectively. He visits General Auchinleck at Technical Headquarters.
II. General Auchinleck at his Tactical Headquarters in the Western Desert. He confers with his Corps Commander. He leaves HQ with his ADC Captain Cunningham in his jeep to visit forward areas. He speaks to an Indian Bren gunner. At 1st Australian Division HQ he meets Major General A Gatehouse, who is assuming command from Major General Lumsden who had been wounded in a Stuka raid.
