Description: AYY 257/9. 7 September. Damaged and destroyed German tanks and lorries in the desert. Knocked out German 105mm and 88mm guns, one with two ships painted on it, indicating that it was formerly used for coastal defence. Burning lorries. A burnt out German cookhouse and destroyed Mark III tank.
AYY 257/10. 6 September. Men from the Recovery Unit board a destroyed German truck at El Ragel. One finds a flag with a swastika on it and holds it up. A British soldier looks at German graves with Maltese Crosses on them at El Ragel.
