A convoy passes the Traffic Control Post at Ain M'lila where a military policeman on traffic control checks passing vehicles. A heavy lorry towing a Bofors gun approaches the outskirts of Ain M'lila. A military policeman directs the convoy out along the road to Kroub. Lorries refuelling at the 8th Bulk Petrol Company's petrol points. Part of the 183 Brigade's convoy passes the lorries. Lorries crossing the barren plateau between Betna and Ain M'lila. The convoy stops near Kroub for lunch. Men prepare a meal. Drivers drinking tea. The cook serves up fried eggs from a severed petrol can. An artillery convoy pulls into the staging area at Ain M'lila at dusk. The convoy approaches and crosses a level crossing. 5.5-inch guns are towed along a winding road west of Laverdure. Two bulldozers on stationary heavy transport lorries are passed by a recovery lorry towing a troop transport, escorted by despatch riders. The officer and crew hold a conference over the damaged carrier. The carriers continue and halt to allow two American tank carriers carrying General Grant tanks to pass. Carriers pass over a winding road in the mountains. Aran children looking into the camera. An Arab sits at the side of the road trying to sell eggs to the passing troops.
