Description: 15 February. Selection of lines of advance men doubling across an open field and getting down to the nearest cover point. The correct way of crawling with rifles behind cover of a fallen tree. Coming out of cover behind a haystack. Men going at the double to a demonstration course two miles away. Men going over an obstacle course of barbed wire, a double apron fence and dannet wire. Men crawling underneath and then helping others who have become entangled.
16 February. Men doubling up to an obstacle of barbed wire entanglement and fighting their way through it. Some help others to get through. Men coming through the other side. Men doubling up to a table of barbed wire and crawling through. A man comes out, covered in mud from head to foot.
17 February. Troops advancing on an anti-tank ditch and leaping into the water and onto barbed wire. They lay and wait for the order to advance on to the next obstacle. Men landing in the water and getting to the bank. A man jumps into the ditch followed by another man, he comes out and waits for the order to advance. Men coming out of the barbed wire obstacle in a smokescreen. Troops advancing onto a quarry in arrowhead formation then going through a smokescreen. They come out of the smokescreen and wait for the order to advance.
