Description: 15 February. A carrier platoon of the 1st Buckinghamshire Regiment in training. The forward scout rolls out of cover, beckons the section and rolls back into cover again. The section leader crawls into cover, the section follow. The section double across a gap in the cover. They use a railway arch as cover and crawl up the bank. The final assault is made. The whole school doubles the two miles to a demonstration. Students crossing dannet wire. They are instructed in the correct way to cross a gate.
16 February. Men on an obstacle course in Leadership Course I. Men cross scaffolding and barbed wire known as the Table. Students climbing a sandbag wall as the section leader ties a rope. He dives in the river and swims across. Smoke from an explosive charge is visible. Non-swimmers use the rope to pull themselves across. Men climbing onto the bank. Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Colonel Lee crosses the river and climbs the bank.
17 February. A tank trap filled with wire and water. The men complete a bayonet assault and charge through a smokescreen to the tank trap. The section leader jumps over. Two men struggle through. The section climbs a steep bank through a smokescreen. A man bayonets a dummy. The section enters the water and crosses as explosive charges throw columns of water into the air. One man is stuck in the mud and has to catch hold of a comrade's rifle to get out. The section struggles through the mud. Another man has to be pulled out.
