Summary: Men of the 276th Field Company, Royal Engineers attached to the Highland Division clear a track through an enemy minefield and lift a mine near Arram.
Description: 11 March. The sappers moving slowly forwards with their detectors. A white tape is laid to mark the cleared area. A mine is detected and a sapper called forward to place a wire ring covered in white cloth over the mine. Another sapper removes it and makes it safe.
12 March. Corporal Harker (?) clearing the soil from the mine. The cap is removed and the igniter taken out. The mine is stood up. Tanks of the 50th Royal Tank Regiment carrying infantry from the 6th Green Howards into action. Infantry moving forwards with tanks in support.
