It is conducted by the Reverend L F Foot, Chaplain to the Forces. He preaches the sermon. Tank crews of the Staffordshire Yeomanry singing carols. The padre and the congregation at prayers. The padre administering communion to officers and men.
II. Staff Sergeant-Major H Dolding of the 8th Armoured Brigade HQ assists Trooper C Thompson in pulling the corks out of rum bottles. Eager faces around the table. The Christmas turkey being carved by Sergeant J Scott of the Scots Greys. Staff Sergeant-Major Dolding dishes out the double rum issue. Officers of the 8th Armoured Brigade serve Christmas dinner to a long queue. Trooper A Graham of the Royal Tank Regiment enjoying his dinner. A happy smiling group of "Tankies". Sergeant W R Small of the Royal Tank Regiment eating Christmas pudding. An open air concert organised by Captain N Neilson of the Staffordshire Yeomanry, QORR and Lieutenant R Stone of the 5th Royal Horse Artillery, both of whom studied at RADA. It is attended by officers and men from these regiments. Lieutenant Stone playing a Girl Guide leader. Troopers J Watts and F Hawkins performing a sketch called Interrogation. The audience laughing and applauding. The cast and audience sing Suzy Sits and Shines and One Finger, One Thumb. The performance being watched and enjoyed by Lieutenant-Colonel J A Eadie, Commanding Officer of the Staffordshire Yeomanry QORR and Brigadier Custance, Commanding Officer of the 8th Armoured Brigade.
