Description: Three men lie in a trench covering the outskirts of the town with light machine guns. They run to a shell hole ahead of them to join another machine gun post. One man stumbles on the way. The two men reach the shell hole, one crawls and one dives. A French officer receives a message from a runner at the original HQ. A lieutenant reads the message. A light machine gun crew run to a gun pit covering a river at Medjez El Bab. Close up of the crew watching the riverbank. Infantrymen running along each side of the street, using trees as cover.
