Summary: Staff of the Headquarters of the Combined Training Centre in North Africa carry out an experiment in the landing of tracked vehicles from a landing craft near Djidjelli.
Description: An amphibious Jeep is driven off the landing craft and propels itself through the sea. The tank and naval officers on board reconnoitre the best landing place. The tank landing craft approaches the selected part of the coast. The "door" is let down onto the rocks and ropes are made fast to the rocks. The "door" and rocky shore are wedged with wooden blocks. The first tank, a Sherman, drives up the ramp and straight off onto the rocky shore. The next tank attempts to drive off but fails. It tries again and succeeds. The Sherman tank goes along the rocky shore and into the distance. A Priest tank is driven off the landing craft. Close up of the Priest travelling over the rocks.
