As a sample of the contents, Tape 1 contains: (a) lengthy shots (static camera using zoom lens) of the mountains around Bardufoss, Norway, with aircraft flying past in the far distance. SEPECAT Jaguar aircraft of RAF 41 Squadron land on a deserted, icy landing strip surrounded by evergreens. Pre-flight checks and maintenance, pilot relief, Jaguar XZK3 taxies. (b) Aircraft maintenance at night (brief scene). (c) Film cartridges are removed from aerial reconnaissance cameras mounted in underwing pods on Jaguar and packed into case; they are taken to the laboratory where personnel in gasmasks process the film. Cartography table: maps are consulted and the aerial transparencies are evaluated. RAF photographer larks about for the video camera.
