Summary: I. "The battle of Germany." Development of "bigger and more beautiful bombs" is illustrated by views of cranes lifting 4,000 lb, 8,000 lb and finally 12,000 lb bombs. Aerial film of the large flash caused by a 12,000 lb bomb during a recent raid on Germany. "We can keep it up for as long as they want."
II. "Monty on the factory front." Troops hold back excited girls as Montgomery arrives to pay his first visit to a factory. Filed Marshal Montgomery ("blessed with the human touch of all born military commanders") first meets his former groom, then addresses the workers in the canteen, speaking warmly of the need to establish contact and confidence and attributing his victories to the fact that "we've got far the best equipment, and men, and women too." Neatly sidestepping the questions of the date of the end of the war and the opening of the Second Front - "I've been fighting on a great many fronts recently" - he emphasises the importance of the home-front - "Soldier must know all is well on the home front" - before ending with a humorous account of his campaigns. Enthusiastic audience cheers him.
