Two horses cross a ford, with smoke and mountains in the background. Groups of captured Italian heavy guns of various calibres. The troops march up the road one way, the Italian prisoners come back down the other. An Austrian discovers a dead body (acted) and removes his hat in reverence. Austro-Hungarian walking wounded move back along the roads. More abandoned Italian equipment by the roadside. A shot from a lorry on the move. The march continues, including some refugees and prisoners crossing a footbridge over a river.
