Summary: Dramatised documentary showing a typical incident for the RAF Mountain Rescue Service.
Description: Two hikers get lost in snow-covered Scottish mountains - Alan (who falls and breaks his leg) and Margaret. Their friends "call out" the volunteer RAF Mountain Rescue Team, who drop all their routine tasks and drive out to the scene. They split into groups, keeping in touch by radio. Group A, finding a dropped orange, fire a flare which Alan spots; they climb up to him. Group C soon finds Margaret and leads her down. Alan's stretcher is lowered down by ropes. They reach the Land Rover; alive "thanks to men like Robin Wilkinson and the other volunteers of the RAF Mountain Rescue Service".
