Description: The reel opens with a shot of a Tempest landing, taxiing and turning on one wheel. Cut to good full frame shots of Tempest JN738 flying alongside the camera aircraft. A take off is seen and after flying past the ground camera at various heights and attitudes, the type is studied on the ground. Two aircraft are shown as well as the tail surfaces in close up. Again, close up air to air profiles and 'peel offs' are seen before the aircraft dives below the camera 'plane. A repeat of the landing /taxiing /turning sequence intercuts other good take offs and low passes to camera. The cameraman takes the opportunity of filming a Coastal Command Handley Page Halifax Mk V landing before shooting another Tempest low pass and a glimpse of a De Havilland Tiger Moth coming in to land. The study ends with more shots of the aircraft in flight.

Notes: Summary: Shot Sheet held. All Tempests seen are from 486 Squadron. The take off sequences well illustrate the Tempest's vicious 'swing' and the ground shots its enormous 12 foot propeller. Good quality footage with one shaky shot saved by having a good combat feel to it.
