Description: I. Interview with Lieutenant-Colonel Tim Lai, CO 1 Highlanders, about their predominantly peacekeeping and security role. Lieutenant Tom Hawkins inspects weapons and armour with Bosnian soldier (speaking through interpreter). Lieutenant J Stuart displays and discusses a number of captured weapons, mainly small arms (AK variants and M72) found in D Company's area of operations. Soldiers inspect captured weapons (including AK47 and light anti-aircraft gun).
II. Scenes at the border crossing with the Republika Srpska at Novi Grad (or Bosanski Novi/Novi Grad as it is named on the tri-lingual border sign). Vehicles are checked by civilian officials; members of 1 Highlanders hand out leaflets, one about the forthcoming visit of the Pope, one giving details of a local traffic news radio station (Vijesto o Saobracaju). Interview with Highlander David Longmuir, TA member, about his current task of "making a presence" at the bridge.
