Interviews with Gunner Craig Shaw and Lance Bombardier Zoe Lomas; they and the rest of their patrol group are then briefed prior to patrol along the Shatt Al-Arab. Second RA platoon is seen at dockside, where cargo vessels and barges are being loaded: boats are checked, as are lorries that are delivering goods. Interviews with Gunner James Stanley and Gunner Ryan Mawby about the anti-smugling operations. Soldiers talk with legless Iraqi in wheelchair on dockside. Shots of desert patrol, including silhouette shots of soldiers on ridge. Interview with Major Charlie Warner, Battery Commander of 159 (Colenso) Battery RA about the Battery's role in providing security and in preventing both smuggling and extremism, although latter is not regarded as a major problem at this time.
