Summary: Trials of a rocket propelled mine and jungle(?) clearance device.
Description: (Reel 1) Several firings of the device, which consists of a long, rocket propelled length of hosepipe which can be filled with liquid explosive, are first shown. There is a walking shot along the twists and turns of the pipe after firing.
(Reel 2) Footage shows the trials team making preparations for firing - jerry cans of explosive are poured into a tanker, the rocket is slid into the launcher and the hosepipe is fired over an area of bush. The pipe is connected to the tanker for filling and a fuse(?) attached. Shots show the cleared area through the trees and bushes after detonation (actual detonation not shown).
(Reel 3) Filmed from a landing craft, the device is fired from another landing craft into the water. The device is exploded in the water. The rocket is fired twice more from the landing craft with (apparently) no hosepipe attached.
(Reel 4) The device is fired up a beach from a landing craft. Close-ups show the pipe being connected up on board the LC. After a second firing, the pipe is shown filling up as it lies on the beach.
