10:04:21 Boat platoon of 1 Staffords receive instruction in a camouflaged tent in Basra prior to kitting up.
10:06:12 Jetty on the Shatt al-Arab, where two assault boats are moored. Staffords platoon sets off inside boat, which travels in an arc and returns to the jetty, where the platoon disembarks. (Intermittent sound.) Soldiers keep watch over the waterway.
10:10:08 Scenes on board moving assault boat; members of the platoon keep watch, their guns at the ready. They disembark once again at the jetty.
10:11:35 Small high speed assault boat travels along the Shatt al-Arab. Views on boat the camera-craft show the platoon with guns ready as the boat moves at speed along the waterway.
10:15:49 Camera-craft passes the wrecked hulk of Saddam Hussein's luxury yacht Al-Mansur, which is lying on its side. Piece to camera by reporter about the yacht, followed by further views. The craft them moves on and passes through the dockland area; further large wrecked vessels, the Kolivam (?) and the Alsumood, are passed. General dockside views.

10:28:15 Camera swings round to show the riverside and the jetty; soldiers climb into a small assault boat and cast off. The boat accompanied a larger assault boat and the two vessels set off on patrol.
