Description: I. National Fire Service girl despatch riders (with the "job of keeping open NFS communications when telephones have been blitzed") in training: formation and stunt riding, and some rather less successful cross-country 'rough' riding.
II. A cement works calls in an architect to assist in plans for the future with the aim of avoiding the scarring of the environment typical of earlier industrialisation (19th C. examples). Plans for conversion of quarries, clay pits into a youth centre after they are worked out.
III. The manufacture of Nylon, and its use in parachutes, parachute harness and glider tow-ropes (airborne troops exercise film used as example). "Thanks, girls, for going without stockings."
IV. A demonstration/tour of the Ministry of Works prefabricated house, including pointing out details already noted for improvement.
