Summary: Unedited footage with live sound taken during a large scale exercise on Salisbury Plain.
Description: I. (Tape 1) Extended sequence (approximately an hour in duration) shows a large scale assault on a town (the FIBUA village at Copehill Down near Warminster) by heavy armour; a gunfight on the plain beyond is followed by soldiers taking their positions on the street. Also involved are a Puma helicopter and Hawk fighter aircraft. Camera position appears to be on a church tower within the "town".
II. Ground-level scenes showing troop movements on the plain, with armoured fighting vehicles and infantry.
III. (Tape 2) General coverage of large scale army manoeuvres on Salisbury Plain, showing troops and heavy armour moving through woods and across open countryside. Long continuous takes from a static camera are used, with plenty of zoom shots. Occasional aircraft (Hawker Harrier jet, Westland Lynx helicopter) fly overhead.
