Summary: Combat training in a rural area. After receiving instructions, a two man squad of soldiers leave a rural command post through the gates and advance into the country. (Two takes) The two soldiers come under fire and one is shot in the leg. Soldiers advance on a suspected machine gun nest, and fire at a passing Transit van. Panning shots of rural Northern Ireland landscape from a sandbagged Army machine gun position. Two frightened witnesses to the earlier shooting are questioned by a soldier.
