Summary: Unedited films of the Cheshire Regiment returning to their barracks in Fallingbostel, Germany, being presented with UN medals by their commanding officer, and interviews with officers and men.
Description: I. The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire soldiers being interviewed and assembling to depart for Bosnia to relieve the Cheshire Regiment. Minister for the Armed Forces, Archie Hamilton MP speaks to officers, NCOs and men on their mission. Cheshire Regiment land at the airport and are met by Hamilton who gives a speech to the assembled soldiers, congratulating them on their mission and commending their professionalism. The troops head for the terminal building to return to their barracks.
II. The Regimental band playing as the soldiers return to their barracks by buses to be met by families. Lieutenant-Colonel Bob Stewart answers questions from journalists on the situation in Bosnia including the experience of the Regiment, his own experience of command and the loss of Lance-Corporal Edwards, killed in action.
III. The presentation of UN medals to the mother of Lance-Corporal Edwards (killed in action) and officers and men by Lieutenant-Colonel Bob Stewart. Stewart then goes around speaking to families. He gives a speech to the assembled soldiers discussing the loss of Lance-Corporal Edwards and thanking all those who helped them on their tour and the families of soldiers. The parade ends with the Regiment replacing the blue UN berets with their own. Interviews with Lieutenant-Colonel Stewart, Lance-Corporal David Cailceta, Warrant Officer Graham Percival (?) and Lance-Corporal Mark Lyddon.
