Summary: Operational film of Medium bombers of 2nd TAF.
Description: The reel opens with air to air shots of the fighter escort in the proximity of the bomber force and a Boston of 88 Squadron. On the ground, Bostons line up ready for take-off. In one an RAFFPU cameraman can be clearly seen waving and filming this cameraman! After some take-off shots, a Boston is seen in close-up. Note the nose-art, a beer barrel and the legend "Beer is Best". A Flight Sergeant gunner inspects his weapon. A pilot boards his aircraft and ground crews help them settle in. The bomb doors close and the crew go through their checks. Armourers load belts of ammunition into an aircraft. A long shot of a Mitchell in flight precedes views of crews entering an aircraft (note the USA shoulder of a volunteer and once again they settle in and prepare for flight and proceed with their checks. The aircraft are waved off. A Dutch Able Seaman leans on a bicycle as Mitchells of 320 take off. A take off is filmed from the rear position of a Boston. The reel finishes with air to air views of a Mitchell, Boston, the target and countryside
