Description: Part 1. "A Brief Survey of Her Majesty's Navy by Type Only." after stressing the importance of sea power and the cooperation between the Navy and the RAF, illustrative footage of the types of ships in the fleet are shown: battleships, battlecruisers, heavy and light cruisers, destroyers, sloops, minesweepers and aircraft carriers (HMS Ark Royal, returning after the battle of Taranto).
