Description: 21 May 1944. Monsignor Gonzi inspects the Guard of Honour of the King's Own Malta Regiment at the Palace Square, Valetta. He gets into his carriage, which passes through the streets on the way to Notabile, blessing the crowds as he passes.
22 May 1944. The Archbishop drives through Rabat and enters St Mark's Church where he puts on his pontifical vestments. He leaves the church, mounts a sacred mare and drives in procession to the city. He enters the church. Shots of the crowds en route. After the ceremony he walks across to the Archbishop's Palace.
