Description: I. Vehicle checkpoint near Dahuk in Northern Iraq. Vehicle is searched and guns are found: occupants of this car are turned back. Marine warns that "if they [vehicle occupants] want to drive through they have to leave their weapons".
II. Views of ruined buildings, including a water tower, in Baroshki. Kurdish women get water from a pipe facility set up by the Royal Marines. Piece to camera by a member of the relief team, who discusses water supply and sanitation issues. (Baroshki is being used as a pilot project for the rebuilding of Kurdish villages.)
III. The pumping of water from temporary tanks to the standpipe for Kurdish refugees: women and children stock up on supplies. Piece to camera (in English) by local Kurdish man, who describes their evacuation and the subsequent levelling of their villages by Iraqi forces; the villagers are now back after help by Coalition forces. "Situation in Kurdistan is very good now."
