  • Description: Members of the BRF prepare their kit at Camp Bastion before driving off in their Jackal armoured vehicle, in convoy with members of the Afghan National Army in pick-up trucks. Other BRF members board a helicopter (cameraman is on board) which takes off. Second helicopter sequence, this time at night (shot with image intensifier): disembarked troops in the desert (very low light). Observation post (OP). Two suspected members of the enemy forces (EF) ie Taliban are watched (they can be seen on a mountainside, one half-hidden in a cleft in the rock). Shots are fired at them from sniper rifle and gun with UGL (underslung grenade launcher). It is unclear whether the two Taliban members were hit. Afterwards, the BRF pack up their bergens (backpacks) and set off down a hill. Jackals driving in the desert, throwing up large amounts of dust, in advance of a Combat Logistics Patrol (CLP) carrying supplies. (Techno music can be heard on radio.) Close-up of gunner on top cover as he prepares to fire warning shots with his .50 calibre gun at a possible enemy target (off screen). There are problems with the gun, which jams, but it is eventually fired.
