Summary: Members of the Royal Engineers, attached to 3 Commando Brigade, at work. Location is Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.
Description: Sequences, without audio, showing preparation for explosive ordnance disposal and armoured tractors in action.
Engineers set up a mousehole charge (a prefabricated explosive charge used to breach walls and defensives: the charge is detonated and successfully blows a hole in a Hesco bastion). Barmine is laid against a pile of sandbags (filling the gap in the bastion) - the bags are blown away. Further charges are set and detonated. PE4 plastic explosive is used to destroy rocket propelled grenades. Extended shot (several minutes) of bastion, behind which are the grenades: these are eventually detonated causing damage to the bastion.
