Summary: Members of 3 Commando Brigade on exercises in preparation for deployment to Afghanistan.
Description: Opening scenes of CH47 Chinook and Sea King Mk 6 helicopters, followed bu a poor quality sequence (the camera has been left running accidentally and is pointing downwards). Scenes on board Chinook in flight over Salisbury Plain: the Chinook comes in to land and troops (Marines ?) get on board. Further on board scenes. Views through window and also through winch hole in the helicopter's floor showing underslung load) - a Pinzgauer vehicle). Back at base, the truck is lowered to the ground, the helicopter lands and troops disembark. Camera stays on board the Chinook as it flies to it's next rendezvous, where it picks up a light gun (pick-up is shown through the winch hole). Return flight. Final ground views of Apache helicopters: gun mountings are tested on one helicopter. (Note missiles marked "drill inert" to specify that they are practice weapons.)
