Summary: Scenes at a makeshift Forward Operating Base (FOB) in the Kuwaiti desert near Camp Viking, prior to the invasion of Iraq.
Description: Line of tents and bashas in the desert: group of trucks and Land Rovers pull up. Soldiers move around rapidly: they are all wearing gas masks in case of a possible chemical attack. Camera is placed on the ground as the cameraman climbs into a shell scrape. Camera under a basha watches activities as troops, still in masks, rush around: there is a reported threat of a Scud missile attack, although this does not materialise. Later view , after the attack; soldiers move around freely. One soldier lights a cigarette and talks informally to the cameraman.
