  • Description: Road building in Kosovo under the watchful eye of the Royal Marines. Kosovo Police Service (KPS) station: Royal Marine and UNMIK Police officer in operations room. Civilians line up outside the police station. Royal Marines provide security at an Kosovar Albanian pre-election rally. Dancing and music are performed on a stage; many of the spectators wave Albanian flags. Movement of troops at night using a Puma helicopter, in preparation for a search operation. Views of KFOR vehicles lined up in the darkness. Search operations by British troops, Royal Marines and NORBAT (Norwegian) soldiers in Glogovac, a town in the NORBAT area of responsibility. The search is a Multinational Brigade (Centre) joint operation. Houses and gardens are searched; a rifle is found. Soldier (1st Battalion the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment) and Military Policeman log the details of the gun and ammunition. Further searches uncover a very poor quality pistol and a shotgun (latter is confiscated and put in a police vehicle). The search continues.
