Summary: Trials of the FV431 armoured load carrier, in amphibious mode, in the River Taw.

It drives ashore; close-ups as protective side panels are lowered and the rear storage compartment door is opened to show that no leakage has taken place. (The "cargo" is made up of bricks.) Various shots (under differing lighting conditions) showing the vehicle driving in and out of the water. The FV431 in the water. Back on shore, the side panels are checked and the storage compartment is opened; the bricks used as cargo are removed. The FV431 goes back in the water (local man in small boat with dog passes close by). Further scenes in water and on beach. Brief scene where frogmen and a REME beach recovery vehicle tows a second recovery vehicle through the shallows.
