Summary: Basic loading trials of the LCM(9) landing craft.
Description: (Reel 1) Shots on board LCM TI (L708): heavy equipment including Bloodhound missile is dragged on board manually. A generator is also towed into position and loaded on board, pushed by heavy tractor. A trailer (without cab) is pushed on board, followed by lorries and other vehicles. LCM T3 also seen. A beach armoured recovery vehicle pushes a radar truck (?) on board, followed by a large artillery piece and a 10-ton truck.
(Reel 2) LCM(9) T4 (L706) lands and lorries are disembarked and re-embarked; a Bloodhound missile is towed. A heavy duty fork lift truck tows a trailer carrying what is possibly a generator (it is covered in tarpaulin). A beach armoured recovery vehicle (BARV) drives on board. Other vehicles seen are a heavy duty lorry and large trailer. L706 manoeuvres in the water off Turnchapel. Further loading scenes at the quayside (vessel is T3, L709): artillery (tarpaulin-covered) is loaded, as is a large van (possibly air defence equipment). Fork lift trucks and further artillery are loaded. Final shot of a third vessel (T1) setting sail.
