Summary: Trials of the amphibious version of an armoured vehicle, apparently a modified version of the FV438 (later developed into the Swingfire missile carrier).
Description: Vehicle with flotation collar in the River Taw off Instow. The vehicle drives in and out of the water; it is shadowed by a DUKW. During one of the trials it becomes mired in the shallows at an angle. Various shots as the vehicle tries to come ashore at a steep part of the beach, approaching at an angle and occasionally again getting stuck. Technicians inspect the vehicle and the flotation screen.
