Summary: Amphibious exercise involving the loading of Royal Engineers vehicles and equipment on board an LSL (Landing Ship Logistics).
Description: Members of the Royal Engineers use a heavy duty fork lift truck to place loading ramps on a narrow Mexeflote platform. Various heavy engineering equipment is driven on board. At the other end of the platform (and not previously visible, suggesting that the platform has moved), a landing ship lowers its stern door which is lined up with the Mexeflote. Caterpillar tractor and other vehicles drive (in reverse) on board. Further loading sequences follow, all of light or heavy engineering equipment.
Landing ship, with its bow door open, lowers its ramp onto the quayside; various vehicles (Land Rovers, Bedford lorries and the heavy engineering equipment seen earlier) drive straight onto the quayside. Several of them also drive back on board, and off again. The ramp is pulled up and the bow doors close.
