Summary: Waterproofing trials of British and Royal Netherlands Marine Corps vehicles. Captions throughout in English and Dutch.
Description: Royal Navy Land Rover and its Royal Netherlands Marine Corps equivalent (DAF ?) are tested in fresh water by driving through a dip tank at ATTURM (Amphibious Trials and Training Unit, Royal Marines). One of the Dutch vehicles gets stuck in the tank and has to be towed out. Salt water tests are then made in the sea near Appledore; testing is at various depths. Again, the Dutch vehicle becomes stranded and is assisted by a beach army recovery vehicle (BARV). Further fresh water dips are shown.
