Description: Scenes near Instow. Land Rover and light gun wade through heavy swell to board HMAV Audemer (L4061) through her bow doors; the camera turns to show HMAV Aachen (L4062) embarking lorries. A beach armoured recovery vehicle (BARV) rescues one of the lorries which has become stranded. Land Rovers drive onto Aachen; one of these becomes stranded too. View of Audemer and Aachen in close proximity.
Amphibious landings from Landing Craft Mechanised (Mark 9) at Saunton Sands - Land Rovers drive ashore. There is heavy swell; DUKWs and BARV are in attendance in case of difficulties. Heavy duty tractors and lorries also wade ashore.
On the beach at Saunton Sands, a man picks small items of debris out of the water and sand, and tractors help clear up. Further shots of vehicles wading and embarking.
