Summary: The FV432's amphibious version, with a flotation screen, undergoes extensive trials in the estuary of the River Taw, Devon. This variant of the armoured personnel carrier also has a turret adapted from that of the FV721 Fox vehicle.
Description: AXE logo at the beginning. Swimming trials begin; extended sequences show the vehicle driving in, out and through the water. There are several people on board, and a Royal Navy DUKW is in attendance. Occasionally the FV432 gets stuck in the mud banks.
Landing Craft Mechanised (Mark 9) L708 with its ramp lowered; FV432 with flotation screen raised drives off, and then drives back on again. Brief shot on land of FV432 having its engine removed by crane; this is followed by further shots of sea trials (water-to-water). Banking and landing trials, and towing scene, before further sea trials. Occasionally the Fox turret can be seen behind the flotation screen.
