Summary: Various activities on gravel beach.
Description: Royal Navy Vosper-Thornycroft VT-2 hovercraft (GH-2049) comes ashore in slow motion and moves across the gravel beach, throwing up dust and sand. The rear door of the craft is opened and pallets of ammunition boxes and other supplies are pulled out along roller ramps before being lifted by heavy duty Giraffe fork lift tractor and loaded onto a lorry.
Mexeflote comes ashore and various vehicles drive off onto the beach (camerawork is shaky during this sequence). A fork lift crane and another fork lift truck drive around in the gravel, demonstrating their manoeuvrability.
Hovercraft GH-2049 comes ashore again, and then back out to sea. A long hose has been laid zig-zag style on the beach; this is a dracone barge (a tubular flexible barge towed behind a ship and used for carrying fuel). LCVP (F5) heads out to sea towing and unravelling the tubular barge. Fork lift tractors unload from LCM(9).
